About Me
I have primarily been a stay at home mom for the last 22 years. I have a 10 year old who is in 4th grade, 19 year old twins who are at the University of Oregon and a 22 year old who is in her fourth year at Portland State University. I have been very fortunate to be able to stay at home while raising my family. Not only has this resulted in my children turning out to be quite amazing additions to the world, but it has also allowed me the time to self study many areas of interest to me.
Particularly of interest, is holistic wellness and natural living. I am drawn to the idea of wellness coming from the mind, body, and the soul as well as living as natural a lifestlye as possible. For instance, here in the high desert growing a lawn requires way too much water and a lot of chemicals, however, growing clover requires much less water and is self fertilizing. In other words, the goal is to try to live in harmony with my surroundings rather than in constant battle. The result is beneficial to myself and my environment. Now that my house is a bit quieter with the three older kids gone, I have decided to go back to school to study business/entrepreneurship. My husband is a builder and we have been looking into purchasing land and creating an offgrid retreat. I would like to implement my ideas and lifestyle into this retreat so people can get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy world, reconnect with nature and maybe return home with a few ideas of how to live a more environmentaly, healthy and conscientious lifestyle!
